Microsoft launched Windows 10 on July 29th, and you have probably already seen notices about upgrading your operating system. You can also expect any new PC or laptop you order to default to the Windows 10 Operating System. It is unclear how long Windows 7 will continue to be supported and a purchase option.
While it is likely that most systems will evolve to Windows 10, we recommend that you wait until all of your software applications can be verified to work properly in a Windows 10 environment before making the upgrade or downloading the new system.
Windows 10 is available as a free upgrade (for qualified and Genuine Windows 7 and 8/8.1 devices), adding some security features and updates. It also includes new items like Cortana (Microsoft’s voice-enabled digital software assistant) and a new browser Microsoft Edge, to replace the older Internet Explorer.
